Minnesota Vikings (+10) @ Green Bay Packers (-10) Sunday, Dec. 2, 2012 1 p.m. ET

The NFC North division title appears to be the Chicago Bears to lose with the Green Bay Packers falling to the defending Super Bowl champion New York Giants last week. The Packers still have a shot of getting back into attention for the division title, but the Bears still appear to control their own fate with the division lead moving forward. With Green Bay fight to get back in contention for the NFC North division crown, every game from here on out will be a must win situation for Aaron Rodgers and company as they cannot afford struggle after being embarrassed by the Giants last weekend. Injuries have become a problem for the Packers moving forward much like most teams in the NFL at this point in the regular season. Perhaps the two biggest names absent over the last few weeks have been Greg Jennings and Clay Matthews. Both players have been ailing from different injuries and have struggled to get back on the football field for Green Bay. The playing status of these two Pro Bowlers remains uncertain heading into the weekend, but they will need help on both sides of the football without Jennings and or Matthews. Charles Woodson has also been dealing with a collarbone injury and has also missed time as a result. Needless to say, the Packers are banged up right now and are not a 100 percent moving forward. The Minnesota Vikings will be a tough challenge for the Packers on both sides of the football as we continue to play well this season with Adrian Peterson bouncing back from off-season knee surgery without a hitch and Christian Ponder get the job done under center in his second season in the NFL. Although unlikely, is chance that the Vikings they finished the season with a better record than the rival Packers. Minnesota comes into this matchup with Green Bay sporting a 6-5 record, but has struggled as of late with three losses in the last four games. Peterson continues to play like a legitimate NFL MVP candidate by lead the way on offense and dominating the competition, but it might not be enough to get the best of the Packers in Week 13. At this point in time, Minnesota is the overwhelming underdog with Green Bay favored at -10. Although the Vikings will likely make this a closer game than anticipated, the Packers will still come out on top, but I doubt they’ll cover the spread.

Prediction: Vikings +10
