Indianapolis Colts (+10) @ Houston Texans (-10) Sunday, Dec. 16, 2012 1 p.m. ET

The Houston Texans will be looking to avenge the devastating loss the New England Patriots on Monday Night Football after getting dominated, 42-14. Last week’s loss was devastating and eye-opening to say the least for the Texans as they really didn’t see that coming in terms of not being able to compete with New England. Although they’re coming off perhaps the worst loss of the season, the Texans have a chance to bounce back with a vengeance in Week 15 as the face-off against the division rival Indianapolis Colts. With a win over the Colts this weekend, Houston will clinch the AFC South division title with a shot contend for the first-round bye in the playoffs. Although many people it dissipate Texans bouncing back quickly and make an example of their division rivals on Sunday, Houston may have a surprise waiting for them with Andrew Luck and company ready to show that they are playoff bound team. The Colts haven’t been dominating the competition throughout the season and Luck hasn’t been without mistakes, but Indianapolis has been motivated by different off the field problem in terms of head coach Chuck Pagano dealing with cancer. Coming into week 15, the Texans will be facing off against a red-hot Colts team that has won seven of the last eight games and appears to be playoff bound if they can continue to win at least two more games in the last three. Unfortunately for Indianapolis, two of the last three games will come against the Texans and will be a challenge to say the least for the up-and-coming Colts. Despite the Texans being obviously the better all-around football team coming into this match up, it’s hard to bet against the Colts this season with this young team led by a rookie quarterback continuing to defy the odds and come out on top against teams they not supposed to. With that being said, the Colts coming out on top against the Texans in Houston should not be overlooked as this team should not be underestimated. Although it may be a stretch to see Indianapolis beat the Texans on their home field, the Colts are more than capable of doing just that and punching a ticket to the playoffs within the next two weeks as a result. At this point in time, the Texans are heavily favored to get the win over the Colts with a -10 point spread. This spread is way too high for this game as Luck and company will make it much closer than anticipated or pull off the upset.

Prediction: Colts +10
