Dallas Cowboys @ Washington Redskins Sunday, Dec. 30, 2012 8:20 p.m. ET

After impressive performances in the second half of the 2012 NFL season, the Washington Redskins and Dallas Cowboys are neck-and-neck heading into their showdown in the regular-season finale on Sunday at FedEx Field. The NFC East division title will be up for grabs on Sunday in Washington with the winner of his divisional battle taking home the division crown and punching their ticket the playoffs as a result. Both teams have been brilliant over the past few weeks with Tony Romo coming into his own for the Cowboys and rookie sensation Robert Griffin III leading the way for the Redskins. Griffin suffered a potentially season-ending knee injury a few weeks back in the overtime win over the Baltimore Ravens, but was able to get back on the field against the Philadelphia Eagles. The Baylor product was able to lead the Redskins over the Eagles, but was noticeably hesitant to run with the football as he’s done so well over the course of his rookie season in Washington. Coming into this potential division-clincher against the Cowboys, Griffin’s mobility will be a major concern for the Redskins as that is the one aspect of Griffin’s game that put Washington over the top against Dallas in their last meeting back in Week 12. Without a mobile Griffin in Week 17, it’s uncertain if the Redskins get get the best of the Cowboys for a second consecutive time and clinch the division crown as a result. As for Dallas, Romo and company are coming off a disappointing overtime loss to the New Orleans Saints. The Cowboys were able to mount a brilliant comeback in the fourth quarter to force overtime, but were unable to get the best of Drew Brees’ squad that ultimately ended the game with a field goal. Despite their struggles against the Saints last week, the Cowboys will be ready to take on the likes of Griffin and company in Week 17. The fact that Griffin might not be as mobile as he was back in Week 12 is a huge plus for the Cowboys as it may very well be the difference maker in this matchup on Sunday at FedEx Field. At this point in time, the Redskins have been given the edge to clinch their playoff ticket with a -3 point spread at home. Although I believe this will be a very close game that comes down to the wire, the Cowboys are the more experienced team and will advance in my opinion.

Prediction: Cowboys +3
