NFL Week 3 Awards
With the amazing football games we saw during NFL Week 3, we can’t help but give out awards for the performances done by the teams, players, and even coaches that drove them to victory. The BleacherReport has given out several different awards, which truly reflect the great work that each accomplished. The different awards and those that got them are:
Team of the Week Arizona Cardinals New England Patriots
Coach of the Week Dan Quinn, Falcons Bruce Arians, Cardinals
Goat of the Week Brandon Marshall, Jets Joe Philbin, Dolphins
Rookie of the Week Amari Cooper, Raiders
Best QB Performance Tom Brady, Patriots Matt Ryan, Falcons
Best RB Performance Devonta Freeman, Falcons
Best WR Performance A.J. Green, Bengals Julio Jones, Falcons
Best TE Performance Greg Olsen, Panthers Jason Witten, Cowboys
Best Defensive Performance Seattle Seahawks Arizona Cardinals
Best Decision Peyton Manning to Demaryius Thomas Seahawks getting ball to Jimmy Graham
Worst Decision Brandon Marshall’s lateral Browns using Josh McCown at QB
Player of the Week Tom Brady, Patriots Matt Ryan, Falcons
We already know why the Arizona Cardinals won Team of the Week, with their spectacular 47-7 win over the San Francisco 49ers. Even though the Patriots did an amazing job this week, I would have given second place to the Seattle Seahawks, who were able to shut down the Chicago Bears offense completely, for a 26-0 victory. With these awards we can still see that Tom Brady is the favorite for many spots, but this may be coming to an end, as there are rumors of his retirement coming soon; however, he is still at his peak, so we would hope it didn’t come too fast. These awards could be quick lived, as football isn’t such a kind sport and anything can happen. So, during the NFL Week 4 games, we will see if each one of these players and teams can continue being the best.
